Things run smoothly at Sutter

On June 28, 2024, the 14th City Run in Emmendingen, Germany, set a new participant record with about 2,600 runners. The event took place on Friday evening in the downtown area and was marked by large fields of runners and an excellent atmosphere along the route. The city administration was primarily responsible for organizing the multi-hour running event. The start and finish of the run were located at the marketplace.

One of the highlights this year was the Everyone's Run at 7:00 PM, which saw numerous corporate teams, groups, regulars' tables, and individuals participating. Our Sutter team had a total of 35 runners, making us the largest participating corporate team for the second time since 2023, and we were invited to the stage for the awards ceremony after a successful run in sweltering temperatures.

The 4,000-meter circuit took our athletic colleagues twice through the downtown area of Emmendingen, fast and challenging with some ascents and tight curves. The proceeds of the city run support two sponsorship projects of the Lions Club Emmendingen Aid Work.

We are extremely pleased to have been part of such a great event with so much team spirit and, of course, also about the award as the largest corporate team on the main stage—many thanks to all colleagues who participated!
