Our new company headquarters in Emmendingen stand for our connection with the region. When it comes to the selection of executing trades Sutter has consciously chosen regional craftsmen. The architectural design of our offices and workspaces conveys parts of our corporate identity with a great deal of sensitivity. The use of solid wood as one of the oldest natural building materials was close to the hearts of the client and the architect duo, not only in terms of indoor climate.
The warmth radiating from the symbiosis of wood and other materials in our light-flooded spaces was 'made to measure' by the experts of Kiefer & Sohn GmbH − we enjoy being able to breathe nature every day...
The aspect of sustainability, which is a core value of our philosophy, played an essential role in the entire planning and construction process. It is reflected in the three pillars 'sustainable growth', 'planet' and 'people'.
On almost 9,000 square meters of space, production processes have been designed in an efficient way and thus push forward economic growth. A total of 17,000 sqm of land is available for modular extension in the future.
The energy efficient building concept allows the sustainable use of environmental resources. The building will be almost completely CO2 neutral thanks to the use of energy from our own solar power and the implementation according to the KfW-55 standard for energy-saving buildings. This means that in the future we can save approximately 100 tons of CO2 per year. With about 1,450 m² greened roof areas, the plantation of deciduous trees, the installation of beehives and an employee garden we make a contribution to nature and improve the micro climate.
A modern room concept focuses on the well-being of people. In 44 thousand cubic meters, light-flooded, soundproofed rooms have been created, offering bright and quiet workplaces for up to 200 employees. Ergonomic work stations with height-adjustable desks, co-working areas, quiet rooms and meeting points create opportunities for the individual and future-oriented development of all employees.
